Biography Wouter Teeuw

Wouter Teeuw (1967 ) graduated in Applied Physics at the Delft University of Technology (1989 cum laude). His thesis topic was multi-resolution image processing. In 1993 Teeuw obtained his PhD in Computer Science at the University of Twente.

 His thesis focused on the storage and management of (database) objects in distributed systems. In this context he worked three months at the ETH Zurich. After his PhD Teeuw started working at the Telematics Research Centre in Enschede, which absorbed into the later Telematics Institute, thereafter called Novay.
Teeuw has more than 20 years of research experience in conceptual modeling, distributed systems, mobile services and influencing behaviour. He has been project manager of several multidisciplinary research projects and consultancy assignments. Recently Teeuw is mainly active in project management and project development concerning the use of technology in sectors such as social security, mobility, retail and sports.

Since september 2008 Wouter Teeuw works as a professor at Saxion's research group Ambient Intelligence.
