The learning journey starts with you creating an idea for an own website, where you partner up with a platform like bol.com or amazon.com. Then you need to put your idea into practice by creating a website. Your goal is to try to attract as many visitors as possible and entice them to make a purchase! With everything learned during the minor, you can ultimately call yourself a junior digital marketer.

Course content
With the modules Digital Strategy, Digital Marketing 1 & 2, Realization 1 & 2 and Conversion Optimization, you lay a solid foundation for your knowledge. By presentations and lectures you will delve further and further into each subject. The creation, construction and marketing of a webshop/website is part of the minor. By using the right strategies, you learn to achieve the highest possible conversion for your website. Total: 30 ECTS.
Develop a Digital Strategy
Part of creating a website are the strategic choices you make. The minor offers several assignment that help you get a more intensive knowledge of the strategic process. You also must develop a strategy that will be used as a starting point.
Digital Strategy: 5 ECTS
Apply Digital Marketing
On the basis of analyzes and strategies, the students must set up the prescribed channels (SEO, SEA & Social Media) before the website goes live.
Digital Marketing 1: 5 ECTS
Understands the basic technique of HTML and Wordpress
As a Digital Marketer, you should understand the possibilities of a website and make possible changes to a website. For this reason, you have to follow an HTML course and they independently develop a Wordpress website. The program is adapted to students who do not yet have technical knowledge or experience, so do not worry everyone is able to learn the basics!
Realization 1: 5 ECTS
Improve website performance
Through self-study, the minor also requires students to obtain a minimum of 3 Google certificates, including the Analytics certificate. On the basis of this knowledge, short-term studies are carried out with the help of Google Tagmanager and Hotjar. Improvements are made on the website based on the outcomes.
Conversion Optimization: 5 ECTS
Analyze the added value of the resources
By applying Digital Marketing, the student must improve the result of the website on the basis of a number of assignments. Through analyzes, they also ultimately determine the added value of the product. In addition, there is a critical reflection in which one's own work needs to be examined.
Digital Marketing 2: 5 ECTS
Develop and maintain a web store
The students must develop a webshop within Magento. In this way they also learn the specific principles of a web store and are then able to set up their own webshop.
Realization 2: 5 ECTS
The minor helps you to get a better perspective on digital marketing. You can follow this minor online (there are no physical lessons). The number of places is limited and we work on ‘first come, first served’ basis.

The modules within the minor will be tested with assignments and oral exams. At the end of the period, students need to do a final presentation for the lecturers and the specialists. Based on your performance in the minor, we determine whether you are qualified as a Junior Digital Marketeer.
