This is what you do as Senior Researcher Performance-based Building Renovation

You work together with colleagues on research and innovation projects in the field of energy renovation of buildings. You will apply your knowledge in the field of building physics, circularity and (re)construction processes to the development and performance assessment of renovation concepts through simulations and measurements. You initiate research activities, write project proposals and act as project leader. The projects are created in collaboration with industry, the construction and installation sector, building owners and other research institutions in the East Netherlands region and the Euregion. You maintain regional, national and international contacts with partners and stakeholders. And you will promote knowledge valorization between Saxion University of Applied Sciences and the business community and organizations in the region.

As Senior Researcher Sustainable Renovation at Saxion, you will be a member of the lectoraat Sustainable Building Technology This team is part of the School of Business, Building and Technology (BBT), where building, technology and management come together.

  • The following salary scale: scale 11: min € 4.535 / max € 6.359 (cao-hbo) working on a full-time basis.

Job requirements

We seek a professional who fits the job profile below. Does this sound like you? Then this job is ideal for you!

  • Completed master's degree, preferably related to a technical subject related to sustainable buildings.
  • Demonstrable experience in carrying out research and innovation projects.
  • Experience and affinity with (energy) renovation and transformation of buildings.
  • Excellent oral and written language skills in Dutch and English.
  • An enthusiastic team player who can work well together within a team of engineers and researchers.
